Bishop Luther K. Brooks

Bishop Luther K. Brooks, Senior Pastor of Solid Rock Ministry International, Incorporated of Garner, North Carolina, is a visionary leader, boldly promoting a comprehensive approach to spreading the “Gospel of Jesus Christ”. Bishop Brooks received his call to salvation at an early age and is a third-generation preacher that knows the presence and transformative power of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Bishop Brooks’ outreach ministries and passion for serving others has transformed communities through collaborative partnerships with Duke University Community Affairs, Carter Community School, Self-Help Credit Union, Northgate Mall & Associates, Institute for the Development of Young Leaders (IDYL School), The Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties, First Citizen’s Bank, the Triangle United Way and Wake County Public Schools. He also has a heart for developing leaders by mentoring pastors and ministers to fulfill the calling that God has for them. Therefore, he has many sons and daughters in the ministry.
He was appointed to the office of District Overseer of the Central District for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International (FGBCFI) of North Carolina in 2010. Because of his servant-leadership, perseverance, and commitment to “Kingdom Building”, he previously served in the position of State Overseer for the State of North Carolina for Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, and on June 26, 2017, he was elevated to Bishop and held the office of FGBCFI North Carolina State Bishop until 2021.
Bishop Brooks' greatest desire is to preach the authentic Gospel of Jesus Christ to all that he encounters and to love all as his reasonable service in Christ.
Bishop Brooks is married to Lady Kimberly McPherson Brooks. They have three (3) adult children, eight (8) grandchildren, and two (2) great-grandchildren.
